Fuse

This ‘specialist’ event was originally created by video games company Ubisoft to run alongside the UK’s biggest LAN gaming party, Multiplay’s i29. FUSE 06 merged rock music and gaming into one. The event took place at Newbury Racecourse, where thousands of gamers visited to compete in the latest computer games, followed by a Battle of the Bands competition. Following on from the success of the inaugural event, 2007 saw Fuse being staged in the Shepherds Bush Empire. Production Management was undertaken for the music element of the show, ensuring a seamless fit with the gaming aspects. Screens were used to run live feeds from the gaming tournament and these were integrated with the onstage performances of the competing bands.
