Chinese New Year

Event Management of London’s ‘Chinese New Year celebrations’, the largest celebrations outside China, attracting almost 500,000 people to the Capital. With an event footprint incorporating Trafalgar Square, Chinatown & Shaftesbuy Avenue stretching from Whitcombe Street to the west over to Charing Cross Road in the East – the event encompasses a huge area of Central London. Attractions included two stages, stalls, traditional dragon dances and firecrackers as well as sponsored areas such as the ‘Kung Fu Panda 2 Zone’. The main focus of Trafalgar Square was a huge stage flanked by LED screens and topped by a state of the art digiscreen which played host to a diverse range of ceremonial, traditional and contemporary performances culminating in a spectacular ‘son et lumiere pyrotechnic finale’.
